Kenilworth Lions
Welcome to
Kenilworth Lions
'We Serve'
Our events and activities throughout the year help to support needy causes in the community. Kenilworth Lions also raise funds to help both local and international charitable initiatives.
Many events also provide an opportunity for other educational, youth, charitable and commercial organisations to get involved, enriching the community life of Kenilworth.
Some of our endeavours require a degree of work, but all of them can be fun. This provides a rewarding opportunity to put something back into the community and help those less fortunate. With our many activities and a full social programme the Kenilworth Lions Club is friendly, rewarding and good fun!
Kenilworth Lions currently consists of 60 members, men and women, making it one of the biggest Lions Clubs in the country. The club celebrated its 50th anniversary throughout 2019.
Proceeds from all activities and events make Kenilworth Lions Club a major donor to local charities and organisations,
If you would like to get involved or just come to a meeting, please get in touch helping with any of our activities for the benefit of others will be good for you too!

What the Kenilworth Lions do...
Community
The primary focus of Kenilworth Lions is to help groups and individuals in Kenilworth and the immediate area.
The Club also supports international aid projects such as the construction of water wells in Africa, and emergency response at times of international disasters
We also act as a collection point for unwanted spectacles which are sent abroad to developing countries where they can be re-used.
Community Grants
Our Community Service Committee is responsible for considering all requests for donations and appeals for help. All applications need to be made through the Pride of Lions Community Grants scheme.
Since the Club was founded in 1969, the total of our donations to charities and good causes exceeds £900,000.
If you wish to apply for a Pride of Lions Community Grant, please make an application
Events
We organise and run three of the best loved events in the Kenilworth community calendar
- The Grand Show in June,
- Carols at the Castle in December.
- Famous Boxing Day Duck Race.
We also organise smaller one-off events through the year.
Furniture Store
Our biggest commitment (and fundraiser) is the Second-hand Furniture Store & Bazaar.
Open every Saturday morning 9:00 to 12:30 throughout the year, except for a short Christmas/New Year break..
Selling a wide range of pre-owned furniture and bric-a-brac donated by members of the public,
Collections and deliveries for larger items can be arranged within a defined radius.
Become a Lion
We’re a friendly group of individuals from all sorts of backgrounds, bound together by a common desire to put something back into our local community, and to have fun while we’re doing it.
A lot of our members enjoy a great sense of camaraderie from working at the Furniture Store on Saturday mornings, or collecting and delivering furniture during the week.
Others get involved in helping to organise one or more of our public events, monthly social events, or behind-the-scenes activities.
Members are asked to attend the monthly Club meeting whenever they can. This helps to strengthen our togetherness as a Club, and keeps everyone involved in everything that is happening through the year..
Club meetings are held on the second Monday evening of each month*, usually starting at 7:30pm, or at 7pm if there ia a speaker. At Kenilworth Sports & Social Club, Upper Rosemary Hill, CV8 2PA.
