The following donations were recommended by Kenilworth Lions’ Community Service Committee and agreed unanimously by Lions members at the February members meeting:

• £2,000 was donated to Shakespeare Hospice to support their Hospice at Home service. This will directly benefit Kenilworth residents.
• £1,000 was donated to Burton Green Academy to help with the costs of providing swimming lessons for children at the school.
• £200 was donated to the Kenilworth School of Embroidery. They are going to produce a tapestry, inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, which will depict Kenilworth’s medieval history. The ‘Threads of Power and Faith’ tapestry is intended for public display.
• £100 was donated to help a girl guide attend a residential music course.
• £300 was donated to purchase household equipment for a family in need of support.

A total of £3,600 has been donated this month.
