Lucy
Volunteer
I have been a volunteer for Kenilworth Lions for several years. Joining the Lions as a volunteer has provided me with the opportunities to become involved in charity work. It is a way to meet, interact and work with a team of people who work in their spare time to raise funds to support local charities and others in need. The family friendly atmosphere makes it a joy to come and help raise the funds needed to support our causes. I am at the furniture most weekends helping. The feeling of pride and satisfaction I have by giving some of my spare time is truly a rewarding experience.

My name is Andy and I’m a volunteer supporter of Kenilworth Lions. Two or three times a month I help for an hour setting up the furniture store on Farmer Ward Road prior to it opening. The team on Saturday mornings are really welcoming, friendly and incredibly supportive. They make the short time I spend there very enjoyable. Its also hugely satisfying that I can do a little bit towards the amazing fund raising that the Lions achieve.

I volunteer because I feel Lions is a worthwhile and often locally based charity; also, working with other Lions’ partners helps us know each other and makes for a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
